GAME SUMMARY: HIGH SCORING DOES NOT LEAD TO TOMAHAWKS WIN

It's no illusion there are some rivalries in the GMHL WEST, another battle between the T-Hawks and the Eagles was one for the books as the Tomahawks lost 13-10. Here's the recap!

1ST PERIOD

As is tradition when facing the Eagles, The Tomahawks scored first thanks to Kyler Morin with assists from Kalen Strawberry and Bryant Joseph. Harshpinder Chowhan ties the game with assists from Jesse Swanson and Seth Grandejambe. Bryton Wilkinson made it 2-1 with assists from Jordan Radke and Hayden Quinney. Not long after Trevor Peeace scored with an assist from Morgan Blair on the powerplay.  Tomahawks would answer back on the powerplay thanks to Tyrell Shott with assist from Bryant Joseph and Kyler Morin. Michael Beaverbones tied the game at 3 with assists from Roman Goodrunning and Riley Arcand. Kyler gave the Tomahawks their go-ahead goal  with assist from Isaiah Trottier and Tyrell Shott. Alex Kronewitt scored to make it 4-4 with assist from returning Edson Eagle Naslund Ermineskin and Jordan Radke. Kalen Strawberry would put the Tomahawks ahead at the end of the period with assists from Bryant Joseph and Deondre McCarthy.

2ND PERIOD

Edson opened the scoring 2 minutes into the period thanks to Naslund Ermineskin, assist came from Jesse Swanson and Trevor Peeace. Alex Kronewitt would add to the scoring about 20 seconds later with assists from Jordan Radke and Seth Grandejambe. Bryton Wilkinson scored to give the Eagles a 7-5 lead with assists from Alex Kronewitt and Naslund Ermineskin. Cue up Curtis Carpenter to make it 7-6 Eagles with assists from Riley Arcand and Roman Goodrunning.  Jesse Swanson answered back with an assist from Morgan Blair, and then scored another one on the powerplay unassisted. Riley Arcand would score his second of the game with assists from Michael Beaverbones and Kalen Strawberry. Alex Kronewitt having a hot night would score to put the Eagles up 10-7 with assist from Bryton Wilkinson and Naslund Ermineskin. Trevor Peeace ended the period scoring to make it 11-7 with assists from Chase Desnomie and Harshpinder Chowhan.

3RD PERIOD

Jesse Swanson opened the scoring to make it 12-7 with an assist from Taiven Makokis. Tyrell Shott answered back on the powerplay with assists from Kyler Morin and Bryant Joseph. Micheal Beaverbones made it 12-9 with an assist from Riley Arcand, and Arcand would score a powerplay goal to make it 12-10 with an assist from Tyrell Shott. Bryton Wilkinson ended the scoring with an assist from Jordan Radke.

GOALIES

Skyler Di Lallo made his 7th career start this season facing 49 shots, making 36 saves for a save percentage of .735%.
