GAME SUMMARY: Multi-point night from Tyrell Shott equal victory over Ice Kings

ENOCH, AB

The fourth meeting between the Tomahawks and Ice Kings, the Hawks came away with a 12-3 victory thanks to Tyrell Shoot who collected 5 points and rookie goaltender Sam Palfrey who collected his second career win! Here's the recap!

1st Period

Tomahawks opened the scoring on the penalty kill from Roman Goodrunning with an assist from Michael Beaverbones. Parker Oliver scored the second goal of the game with an assist from Curtis Carpenter. Fox Creek interrupted the scoring thanks to Jason Sepkowski with assist from Kirtis Letendre and Owen Letendre. Riley Arcand ended the period on the powerplay with assists from Michael Beaverbones and Tyrell Shott. 

2nd Period

Only two goals were scored in the entire period, so before we do that, we want to acknowledge that there we 15 penalties in the period alone! Notable disqualifications include Lucky Cardinal, Clyde Van Horne, and Kirtis Letendre from Fox Creek. From the Tomahawks included Clyde Goodrunning, Justice Dennehy and Curtis Carpenter. We also want to mention that Carter Johnson was injured during the period as he collided with the Fox Creek goaltender and the goal post, last we heard he is in stable condition and doing well. Okay, now the goals. Dominic Beaver made it 3-2 with an assist from Matthew Mossewah and Kyler Hamelin. Kalen Strawberry scored on the powerplay with assists from Tyrell Shott and Bryant Joseph.

3rd Period

After the mess that was the second period, Tyrell Shott grabbed the bull by the horns, scoring just 9 seconds into the period unassisted. Isaiah Trottier followed up seconds after with assists from Parker Oliver and Riley Arcand. Tyrell Shott scored his second of the night with assists from Micheal Beaverbones and Bryant Joseph. Deondre McCarthy scored the 7th Tomahawks goal of the game with assists from Roman Goodrunning. Parker Oliver scored to make it 8-2 with assists from Riley Arcand. Matthew Moosewah scored the 3rd goal for the Ice Kings with assists from Dominic Beaver and Jason Sepkowski. Clyde Goodrunning scored with assists from Bryant Joseph and Parker Oliver. Roman Goodrunning scored the 11th goal of the game with assists from Riley Arcand and Brad Alexis. Tyrell Shott scored his hat-trick and the Tomahawks 12th goal of the game with assists from Bryant Joseph and Brad Alexis.

GOALIES

Rookie goaltender Sam Palfrey made his third career start and collected his second career win, he faced 34 shots making 31 saves for a save percentage .912%.
