GAME SUMMARY: Tomahawks defeat IceDogs

ENOCH, AB

The Nothern Alberta Tomahawks go 2 for 2 this past weekend with a 5 - 2 win over the Slave Lake Ice Dogs!

First period saw Tyrell Shott continue to rack up the points as he opened the scoring for the Tomahawks. Griffen Thiessen ties the game not too long after, then the Tomahawks amped up the speed with goals from Bryant Joseph, Parker Oliver and Bryant Joseph again. Assists from Kalen Strawberry, Deondre McCarthy, Michael Beaverbones and Tyrell Shott!

Second period saw only Bryant Joseph extend the lead with assists from Tyrell Shott and Michael Beaverbones. Unfortunately, The Tomahawks lost key players in Justice Dennehy and Curtis Campbell for Game Disqualifications for fighting.

Third period Slave Lake IceDog Nolan Janvier pockted another goal for the IceDogs but came too late as the Tomahawks would end up winning the game!

Alexis Alexander was in between the pipes as he saw 48 shots, stopped 46 for a .960 SV%, he recieved the first star of the game as well as player of the game as voted by his teammates!


The Tomahawks are on the road for both games next weekend as the play Edson on Friday October 7 and High Prairie oin Saturday October 8. You can watch both games over on GMHL.TV
