GAME SUMMARY: Tomahawks drop decision against Redwings
HIGH PRAIRIE, AB
Firstly, I want to start off this article by saying thank you too all our veterans and active service members for their dedication for protecting the rights and freedoms that this country enjoys. The Northern Alberta Tomahawks faced off against the High Prairie Redwings for military night at the High Prairie Ice Palace. The boys fought hard with a short bench, but ended up dropping the game 8-5. Here's the recap.
1ST PERIOD
High Prairie opened the scoring with a goal from Ethan Alook-Ferguson with assists from Nolan Noskey and Keegan Ferguson. Micheal Beaverbones tied the game shortly after with assist from Brennan Rosychuk and Bryant Joseph. Rosychuk would score later in the game on the powerplay making it 2-1 with assists from Michael Beaverbones and Deondre McCarthy. Ethan Many Bears would tie the game in the dying seconds of the first period with assists from Keegan Ferguson and Dayton Shantz.
2ND PERIOD
High Prairie took control of the period scoring at the 9-minute mark of the period thanks to Keegan Ferguson with an assist from Dayton Shantz. Maven McMaster would score to make it 4-2 with assists from Nolan Noskey and Ethan Many Bears. Braydan Auger scored couple minutes after with assists from Maven McMaster and Avery McNabb. Michael Beaverbones would get his second of the game on the powerplay with an assist from Brennan Rosychuk.
3RD PERIOD
Deja Vu occurred at the start of the third period with High Prairie scoring two quick ones at the start of the period. Ethan Many Bears scored first with assists from Dayton Shantz and Keegan Ferguson. Dayton Shantz would get the second goal with assists from Keegan Ferguson and Ethan Many Bears. Maven McMaster would score not long after making it an 8-3 game with assists from Braydan Auger and Nolan Noskey. Tyrell Shott would score to make it 8-4 which was unassisted. Bryant Joseph would get the goal to end the period to make it 8-5 with assists from Tyrell Shott and Michael Beaverbones.

Alexis Alexander played the full 60 minutes facing 48 shots, making 40 saves, allowing 8 goals for a .833%
