GAME SUMMARY: Tomahawks repeat 11-4 score with IceDogs

SLAVE LAKE, AB

The Tomahawks went 2 for 2 this past weekend winning 11-4 over the Slave Lake IceDogs!

Here's the recap!

1st Period

The IceDogs would open the scoring with a goal from Kaden Cardinal. The Tomahawks would respond in kind by scoring five straight against IceDogs Goalie Shawn Davis, goals came from Bradley Alexis, Kyler Morin, Tyrell Shott, Curtis Campbell and Riley Arcand. Assists came from Carter Johnson, Michael Beaverbones, Bryant Joseph, Kyler Morin and Tyrell Shott.

2nd Period

Tyrell Shott would open the scoring again with an assist from Michael Beaverbones. Kaden Cardinal would collect his second of the game making it 6-2. IceDog veteran Griffin Thiessen would also score in the second period making it 6-3. Kyler Morin would go to score on the Tomahawk powerplay with assists from Bryant Joesph and Michael Beaverbones. Kaden Cardinal would go on to complete the hat-trick. Sazon Goodrunning ended the period scoring to make it 7-4. Assists came from Bryant Joseph and Justice Dennehy.

3rd Period

Not alot of scoring happened in the period but Kyler Morin would continue to rack up the points by scoring the Tomahawks 8th goal of the game with assists from Sazon Goodrunning and Justice Dennehy. Bryant Joseph scored on the penalty kill with an assist from Parker Oliver. Justice Dennehy scored his first GMHL goal at the end of the period with an assist from Brad Alexis and Kyler Morin.

Skyler Di Lallo faced 40 shots, made 36 saves for a save percentage of .900%

Player of the game went to Parker Oliver who was high sticked in the game, Parker went to the hospital to get stitches and returned to the game in the third period!
